She explores the effects of light on form, creating ephemeral images of women that reflect their spiritual and emotional states in life. Her use of luminous colors and bright, reflective light is central to Susana's artistic expression.
Susana has been dedicated to art since childhood, starting with drawing and later exploring sculpture, animation, and digital painting. Her work primarily focuses on women's internal, emotional, and social challenges, addressing issues such as gender violence and societal repression.
Although passionate about art, Susana pursued practical careers, earning degrees in Business and Economics and Civil Engineering. After working in consulting and IT, she moved to Madrid in 2000 to study for a Master's in New Technologies, which she left incomplete. In 2001, she relocated to Barcelona to focus on her art and joined the prestigious Cercle Artistic de Sant Lluç.
In 2004, Susana moved to the UK and completed a BA Hons in Fine Art at Northumbria University in 2010. She then opened a gallery in Newcastle upon Tyne in 2011 but closed it in 2013 to dedicate more time to her painting. She now shares a studio with her husband, Alan Harris, in Whitley Bay.
